As you can see GW has some problems running up his debts with his "factor" (Creditor) over the pond. This excerpt from Ron Chernow's wonderful biography titled, Washington, A Life. The detail in this book is the most exhaustive ever read. He won a Pulitzer Prize for the book in 2010.
